The fire safety division of an established London engineering company

A trading name of Electro Heating Limited, company no. 12609754, working across London.

What each accreditation covers, and how to verify it

Who is Flame Shield London?

We are the dedicated fire safety trade of Electro Heating Limited, the same company that trades as Green Electro Heating. That parent company has spent over ten years on installation and engineering work across London. Flame Shield London applies the same standards to fire alarm systems, fire risk assessments, emergency lighting, extinguishers and fire doors.

In short: a specialist fire safety trade with current accreditation, backed by an engineering company that has worked in London buildings for over a decade. BAFE registered 303184, approved by Fike and C-TEC, with qualified engineers and paperwork that stands up to inspection.

What we stand for

  • Accreditation you can check: BAFE registered and an approved Fike and C-TEC installer. Our technicians are fully qualified and BAFE certified.
  • Straight answers: no invented reviews, no out-of-hours promise we cannot keep, no price quoted before someone has seen the building. If a simple fix will do, we say so.
  • Written proof: certificates and reports after every visit, so your compliance file is always current.
  • One accountable team: from fire risk assessment through to the alarm, lighting, extinguisher and door work it identifies.

Where are you based?

Our office is at 7A Cecil Road, London N14 5RH, in Southgate, North London, shared with Green Electro Heating, the heating trade of the same company. From there we cover London and the surrounding counties. Our strongest presence is across North London, and we travel throughout Greater London for the right work.

How we work

Every job starts with a free consultation and a free quote, or a free takeover audit for an existing system. We survey, we explain the price before any work starts, and we call every enquiry back within 24 to 48 hours. After the work, you get the certificate and a written report for your records.

How to check we are who we say we are

Flame Shield London is a trading name of Electro Heating Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12609754. The same company also trades as Green Electro Heating for its electrical and heating work. One company, one set of accreditations, two trading names.

That matters when you check our credentials, because public registers list the legal entity, not the trading name. Search the BAFE register for 303184 and it returns Electro Heating Limited, not Flame Shield London. That is the same business, and here is how to confirm it:

What our BAFE registration covers, and what it does not

BAFE SP203-1 is a third-party certificated competency scheme for fire detection and alarm systems: design, installation, commissioning and maintenance. That is what we hold and that is what it covers.

It does not cover fire extinguisher servicing, fire risk assessment, emergency lighting or fire door work, which sit under different BAFE schemes that we do not currently hold. We carry out that work to the relevant British Standards — BS 5306 for extinguishers, BS 5266-1 for emergency lighting, BS 476-22 or BS EN 1634-1 for fire doors, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for fire risk assessments — and we will tell you so plainly rather than let a badge imply something broader. If a supplier is vague about the scope of their registration, ask them which scheme number they hold.

We are also an approved Fike installer and C-TEC certified. The registration above is third-party certificated by NICEIC, which is the body named on the BAFE record for 303184. We do not display our parent company's gas or home-improvement registrations here: they are held by Electro Heating Limited for other work and have nothing to do with fire detection.

Where this comes from

We name the standard rather than quoting it. British Standards are copyright of BSI and have to be bought from them; the links above are to the publisher so you can check any figure on this page against the source.
